I understand this forums members like to be informed about upcoming auctions with carbines to be sold. Hope this is the place to give 'heads up', as I am kind of new here. I see listed in the online coming attractions of Poulin's, in Fairfield Maine, May auction that there are about a dozen M1 carbines pictured. Bob.

Auction season is upon us after a long relatively slow winter. Lots of stuff floating around in the carbine aether. Places like:

Poulin's
James Julia next door
RIA
CMP
GB
Middle of nowhere and/or poorly advertised auctions
And many, many more.

Lots of stuff floating around out in the carbine aether. Collections galore in some cases.

NPM's, IBM's, S', Winch's, Inland paratroopers, T3's, the occasional presentation/experimental/cutaway and even the super rare mixmaster in original WW2 condition.. All yearning to be obtained.

Something for everyone, except for a Commecial Controls of course.

One would think that those selling something nice would provide more/better pictures, but perhaps sellers don't know what they have. Good for us if they don't.

Anyone watching the M1A1s on the recent CMP auctions? One just went for over $8,200 and I guess a couple weeks back, one for $9,000.

These were just run-of-the-mill M1A1s...nothing special I could see. I know people pay big premiums on CMP auctions, but these prices seem real extreme to me.

Poulin's has there full catalog on line for viewing. There is a bunch of carbines listed. There is a couple Colts and bamby blasters I'm interested in. Might buy another M1 carbine, if prices don't get crazy.
