Been here for awhile but haven't posted, that I remember anyway. A longtime friend, who I met while he was working at a local gunshop back in the 70's, got me interested in WWII Garands, Carbines and 1911's... After 4 years of the Army, got my 1st Inland (Bluesky) back in the late 1980's. I then bought a former DCM WRA Garand, which I used to shoot a few matches, and qualified for my own DCM Garand, a S-A, which came through almost all WWII, except for the N-M op-rod. Since then I acquired a DCM Inland, and an 'original' IBM, along with about a dozen commercial Carbines, Alpine, AMAC, I-J, PMC, Nat-Ord... I more recently applied and gave application packets to several friends, for the CMP 1911 lottery, and 3 out of 5 of us have already received our .45's, (another is now getting close)… Meanwhile I have stopped at Camp Perry, a couple times, and bought a WRA, and a S-A CMP 'Special'... That bout brings me UTD...

Welcome.
My sig: It's my opinion that we should've gone and kicked the crap out of the English again instead.
