Ron Shares another great one! Check out this 1950 Pontiac Chieftain. I am sure many of you know Inland made steering wheels, brake linings, weather strips. but that is not what we are looking at. After the war Inland made rubber parts as well as plastic parts, radio cabinets and ice trays. This lead to items like turn signals. But check out this beauty! I did a quick search and thought I found out the different hood ornaments the Chieftain used, I found nothing attributing it to Inland. But this next picture may be the tie to who actually made the plastic lens for the hood ornament. It is a letter opener, How is that for great ephemera made by Inland! |
