I bought this carbine recently from Gunbroker. Here is the info you want:

Question 1: Serial number - 34719xx

Question 2: Initials above serial number - SG

Question 3: Front ring details (use a capitol i for sanserif one) -
                      U.S.CARBINE
CAL.30MI.          (appears as shown, no spaces)

Question 4: Rear tang - wide

Question 5: Rear left receiver detail - no ear

Question 6: Front and middle left detail - front left: SG  (2/16ths), no other marks on left side

Question 7: Receiver bottom detail - serif A stamped on trigger housing lug

Question 8: Barrel manufacturer and date - UNDERWOOD 7-43 with badly stamped flaming bomb below and
5/32 P below that but visible with type III barrel band, short skirt. The middle of the word UNDERWOOD is barely visible but the date stamp is sharp. The turning marks on the barrel are still visible.

Question 9: Rear slide cut detail - round

Not much finish left on this old soldier. It has a Winchester stock with an RA rebuild mark that probably predates the .U. rebuild mark on the left side. Has a san serif P (3/8in) on the front of the grip, and a very small 1 stamped on the bottom of the grip.
It also probably got the pits in its barrel from storage with the Israeli military as it has the serial number stamped into the left side of the stock under the comb. Also courtesy of one of the rebuilds, has an Inland trigger housing with mixed parts.
Hope this helps.
