My name is Chuckalac and I have had a Saginaw for about 15 yrs now. Its a Korean war gun and when I got it the rear sight was missing and it was scattery at 100 yds. I read somewhere to replace the steel recoil block which I did and the little gun closed right up. I put a scope on it and used it.
The gun did not look right but it worked.
The gun has nice wood and there is carving on the stock as well as the same name inscribed on the magazine. I surmise this gun was not a line doggie weapon its too nice.
I am primarily into 50's and I am an active shooter/reloader/experimenter. I also like my Rem 700 6.5 Creedmoor. I am not a gun collector per se so all my guns are working guns and I have comparitively few guns. My guns are all fully functionable and accurate.
I am intered in finding out more about the name on the stock and magazine He was in Korea in 1951
