Hello I'm Albert, and i recently picked up this never fired Historical Gift to an vet who served during D-day. It was at an estate auction and I paid a good amount for it and was wondering more about it. I have some pics of it and the serial numbers. I was going to take it apart and re oil it just make sure its well taken care of.

That is a nice looking case & items. Did you get any other history about the vet who owned it? I'm interested in more pictures including the medals.
About the rifle, it's possible it hasn't been fired since rebuild but it has definitely been through a rebuild at some point with the later part revisions and types the rifle was not originally manufactured with. The wood is likely of new manufacture. |
