I like the new banner. "Jaws of Death", iconic D-Day invasion photo was taken by US Coast Guard Chief Photographer's Mate Robert F. Sargeant aboard a Coast Guard piloted LCVP, launched from the Coast Guard manned USS Samuel Chase, delivering soldiers from E Co., 16th Infantry, 1st Division to Omaha Beach. My uncle with the 29th Division came ashore shortly there after from LCI(L)-94, which also had an entirely Coast Guard crew. They also had a photographer's mate aboard who shot 16mm film of their landings. About time the Coast Guard gets a mention and some recognition.

Memorial Day banner is very nice! Thank you.
I went to Omaha Beach and the Normandy cemetery 2 months ago. I was so impressed with how well kept the cemetery is. I've been to several National Cemeteries, including Arlington. The Normandy American Cemetery is hands down the nicest and best maintained cemetery that I have ever seen.
