This stamp is actually on a M1 Garand. Sorry carbine world! It is AABG. I'm assuming Augusta Arsenal and BG is inspector initials. What is throwing me off is the ones I've seen are single initials to make it something like AAV. Any thoughts?
It is a second arsenal stamp as there is a RIA over FK. The externals are all WWII. I haven't had a chance to break it down and inspect the internals yet. Thanks, Jay

Augusta Arsenal used up to 5 letters on carbines (AA_, AA__, AA___) imagine the same would have applied to the Garand. Your RIA/FK is Rock Island Arsenal inspector Frank Krack.

Thanks, Wayne!
I felt that was the case. I assumed Augusta Arsenal, I just could not find anything with BG and most had 2 or 3 letters only.
