Hi,
I have an Inland General Motors M1carbine that I just inherited dated 3-43 on the barrel. It did not have a sling. What color is the correct sling for this particular year? Was their manufacturers that sub-contracted to make slings just for Inland?

You’d see a khaki sling issued with any pre-1944 Carbine. Should have the crimped “C” tips of course. Inland did not have any special sling markings.

You can get either a generic IS oiler or an II. International Silver stopped the individual markings around April 1943 and went to IS.  Below is an ebay link to an II out of France.  I think the seller is reputable but welcome others to jump in with any concerns.  Do be careful.  There are some on auction sites that are reproductions and not specifically identified as such.  These sellers tend to use vague and somewhat misleading descriptions.   I saw one when looking for nenel3's listing.

Agree, that seller in France is legit. Has been a great place for original USGI stuff for quite a few years now. I bought a Winchester oiler from him years ago that was right as rain. Many long time members have used him as well.hth

I confirm about André, known as nenel3.
A bit messy, everything is not on, but he always tries to get what you want.
