Yesterday I received my second M1 Carbine.
It is a QHMC with Rock-Ola barrel 6-43.
Here some pictures

On the front of the receiver no stamp M1 Carbine Cal .30
Receiver is a type A variation 2 with one notch cut through receiver rail
Detachable operating spring guide housing.

This is in no way intended to be derogatory....does it appear to have had the crown polished? I have done a few myself.

About the missing stamp on the receiver ring, the picture shows what looks like some small pits. Does it look like it was ground off? Some Bavarian carbines were ground there and had a notch sight brazed in place. But it doesn't strike me as a Bavarian carbine.

hi

Your rifle originally had a flip sight

I’d suspect someone removed the writing and buffed it

Should look like these

Hi,

Thanks for the link with pictures LS6man.

This  flip sight, C tip sling, IQ oiler, swifel and cover came with the Rifle.
The older guy where I bought from switched the Flip sight.
