I’m new and sorry if this is a repeat post . I’m starting reloading for my Inland Carbine 1943 . Shot the first 50 rounds thru with good buddies trusted reloads and new Aguila . Reloads are 110 with 13 gr and 110 jrn. A lot ssy it’s too light of a charge !
My one buddy I ran into said hey ! Check out Lil Gun and the pressures are way less than 110. I’m reading a d need opinions on lil gun and loads etc. thanks

13.5 grains H110 is about the minimum charge. W296 is a H110 mimic and loads accordingly. #9 at 12.7 grains is a good load. Many more powders out there that will work, but you need to keep the charge firm to keep the gas system clean and properly expand/seal the case upon firing. It will shoot cleaner with a strong load.

Burn rate on the chart for LIL’GUN is 63 and 110 is 64. W296 is 65. All three should behave about the same, I know 110 and 296 does. I think you will be happy with 110 if you bump the charge up closer to 14. 13.5 grains 110 chrono’s around 1755 for me and that’s about as slow as one needs to go I think.

15.0 grs. of H110/W296 (One and the same) and a 110 gr. FMJ will duplicate the original load at ~1990 fps. I've chronographed it many, many times. I have yet to try Lil' Gun but a powder/powders I really prefer to H110/W296 is AA4100/Ramshot Enforcer which are the same powders. As per my chronograph, 14.8 gr. of either, and depending on the primer used, nets right around 2000 fps and when used with a Sierra 110 gr. FMJ is a full grain below maximum. Maximum is 15.8 grs. and while I haven't loaded that heavy, I've gone up to 15.3 and velocity was about 2100 fps, if my memory is correct. |

Several here shoot them, but there has been some concern mentioned about leading. I rarely run mine hot and have not had any issues. When these first arrived on the scene, they were reported as good-to-go up to around 2,000fps. I shoot them in both 30-carbine and 7.62x25 Tokarev, but keep the velocity in the 1800-1850 range.

I use 13,3 grains of N110 with a 110grain rn fmj bullit, that gives me about the same height as S&B factory ammo so that should be the correct ammount of N110 powder.

Ditto on the 15gr H110. My average was 1968f/s w/ that pushing 110gr FMG. Regarding the plated bullets: A few months ago Rebel92 sent me a pic of a copper plated bullet he had chewed into. Plating was not a thin coat of copper as one would expect but a very THICK copper plating; thick enough that the lands would not cut through the copper into the lead. Copper not as tough as bronze (bronze being 88% copper/12% tin) but proper frequent cleaning w/ Sweet's 7.62 Solvent every hunnerd rounds or so fouling would not be a problem. I'd use the plated but had already bought a thousand rnds. bronze FMJ.

I have a Quality Hardware and and Inland, both rebuilt as working shooters.
LilGun from 13.5 to 15.75 grains safety produce velocities the meet WWII velocities to the +200 FPS. At 2,200 FPS extraction is at about 2 o'clock at 4 feet. Velocities measured at 10 feet. Years ago I moved to LilGun because I thought that with longer shot strings the barrel heated up less than with H110. As I moved away from range games I now load for CQB and truck rifle. An additional 200 FPS makes the 30 Carbine a very nice working rifle.
