This Type II handguard came on my "corrected" NPM as an unmarked but having gained experience looking for all kinds of stamps and CCs, this one kind of jumped out.  I can't readily make it out but looks to me as RCG which my Riesch book makes no mention.  Perhaps the middle letter is an S but sure doesn't look like it.  Maybe I've got all the letters mixed up and it's none of the above.  First pic with just flash, the other is with a flashlight at the best angle.  Any eagle eyes out there?

The R looks like a Rock-Ola R . The Location of the letters are the exact spot Rock-Ola marks their Hand Guards . RSG Hand Guards are marked in different location . My Educated Guess is this is a Rock-Ola Hand Guard that is missing the M in between R and The C , and the mark after the supposed C is something other than a manufacturers mark ..Best I can come up with

Thanks for the well educated guess.  The main outcome at this time is the handguard is not unmarked.  Anybody else want to try their luck at it?

Can you post a picture so we can see the depth of the valley of the hand guard from the rear, Maybe a few Profile shots.

What Looks like a "G" to you, could it be a sideways "I"?

Hard to tell but could they be numbers?  Weren't some Bavarian handguards marked with the last 4 or the SN?  The alignment of the letters looks diagonal rather than true of titled slightly if the stamp didn't line up.  Does the HG looks sanded?

Here's 3 pics, top, bottom, and a side view.  Tried one from the end but focus was terrible.

Your hand guard seems almost new, never sanded. clearly a shallow groove.
I found one picture of a RMC-I stock which was a transfer to Inland, evident by the cartouche.
Not the best angle.
