should my supposed all original ibm carbine have a 4 rivet handguard?

I searched the internet for an IBM  4 rivet hand guard without success.

is it an IBM handguard? If so take a picture of the underside metal tab and wood area

If it's actually an IBM handguard, then it's most likely been arsenal repaired since there's not much else out there to explain the extra two rivets. Handguards repaired in that way are not common, but they are definitely seen.

RMC rebuilt to a 4 Rivet.

Good stuff Charlie. 
On some rebuilt handguards it is more obvious that the recess was extended. The line just aft the forward rivet may be the original line.

My IBM has the correct 2 rivet handguard. Ihad put on the wrong one from the repro paratroop stock i had on it.
