We did an article on the 1st Infantry Division's First Carbines. There may be some confusion with the article. These are the first carbines that the 1st received, but not necessarily the first carbines delivered. Certainly some of the earliest carbines based on delivery dates. In 1980 there was a movie "the Big Red One" with Lee Marvin and Mark Hamill of Luke Skywalker fame. It is based on the true accounts of the 1st in WW2. Able, Does the TH have the hammer spring recess? can you post some pics of the trigger housing and the bolt?
