It was manufactured in both .30 carbine and .256 Winchester Magnum. This particular rifle was manufactured in 1966. Includes an original Beretta 38/43 magazine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Miniature M1 carbine handcrafted by Miniart in Russia (non-firing) s/n 009 This is a fully functional 1/2 scale U.S. M1 carbine made by Miniart in Moscow, Russia in the 1990's. 17 3/4″ long overall, 9″ long barrel of about .15 caliber. Gray parkerized steel finish. Straight grained walnut stock and handguard with an oil finish. The top front of the receiver just over the rear of the chamber is laser engraved “U.S. CARBINE, CAL .30 M1” on two lines. Serial number 009 is laser engraved into the top rear of the receiver just behind the rear sight and etched into many parts. Flip folding aperature rear sight, standard blade front sight with protective ears on each side. All parts disassemble and reassemble just like the real ones. There were very few of these made. They are not toys. They are a quality handcrafted reproduction made with the skill of a jeweler. This example appears in War Baby vol III p. 1648, fig 2014. Gray parkerized steel finish. Straight grained walnut stock, handguard, and pistol grip with an oil finish. The top front of the receiver just over the rear of the chamber is laser engraved “U.S. CARBINE, CAL .30 M1A1” on two lines. Serial number 010 is laser engraved into the top rear of the receiver just behind the rear sight and etched into many parts. Flip folding aperature rear sight, standard blade front sight with protective ears on each side. All parts disassemble and reassemble just like the real ones. There are some very minor scratches on the left side of the stock where the buttplate has rubbed against it and the magazine where it has been installed & removed. Otherwise this piece is in excellent condition. There were very few of these made. These are not toys. They are a quality handcrafted reproduction made with the skill of a jeweler. Includes 3 mini grenades. Dark areas in photos are due to graphite lubricant. This example appears in War Baby vol III p. 1612, fig 1931.
