What A Country advertises these as "IR Filter for Q-Beam Spotlight", 5 3/8" diameter, $29.95 (plus tax and shipping). They have not answered inquiries as to what the filters were originally made for and/or by who.

These fit the light assemblies for the M1, M2, and M3 infrared Sniperscopes. They do not come with the rubber gasket that is needed. If used as a replacement the rubber gasket from the filter it is used to replace should be used.

They are the correct diameter. They are ever-so-slightly thicker than the originals. The original gaskets fit but may make the fit to the light assembly a little tight. Just requires a little patience to tuck the gasket into the reflector and secure it with the retainer ring. No alterations to anything are necessary.

These filters do not indicate which side of the filter should face outward like most of the originals do. This was done to protect the coating from the elements by having it face the bulb. One side of these filters shows the rim around the edge. The other side doesn't. The side that doesn't is the coated side.

What A Country stores and ships these sandwiched between a couple pieces of corrugated cardboard. This doesn't appear to scratch the filter. I recommend wrapping them in tissue wrap or a large microfiber cleaning cloth made for cleaning lenses.

A few filters I've bought have had a small imperfection or two in the coating. I think it was done by the manufacturer. Not really noticeable unless viewed closely. They do not let light thru or impact the abilities of the filter to allow infrared light to pass.

These are a good option for use as a spare filter in the M3 chests.

"Brinkmann" offers 5 models of some pretty darn bright spotlights with the Q-Beam name.

What A Country does not identify which of the 5 models it will work with. This only fits and works with the Q-Beam Max Million III. It uses a halogen bulb. The others use LED's or their lens is too small. I bought the Q-Beam Max Million III new for about $32. Mounting the filter required a simple modification of the Q-Beam reflector to get the filter to fit. A pair of pliers is all that you will need.

The Q-Beam spotlight is not something you will want to try to mount on an Infrared Sniperscope. But they are excellent for use as an alternate source of light. They maintain a tighter beam than the Sniperscope lights.
