I was recently asked if a Flip another member has could be correct...
He's wondering if S'G' assembled some of their Flips from parts supplied. His has the Leaf marked like B-S'G' Base marked RG-S'G' I believe he said round S on the left, but I need to double check that. I seen in War Baby that Jasper Blackburn and Redfield supplied both loose bases and leafs. So assume it was likely that S'G' assembled some Flips from their 3 Flip Sight part suppliers ? Thx, Charlie-P77

Thx Charles,
His sight is loose. He's questioning if any Flips were put together by S'G' using Bases and Flips sent to them by their suppliers. I'd believe very possible because of seeing in WB that S'G' received loose bases and leafs from their 3 Flip sight part suppliers. Just looking for a example like his with RG-S'G' Base and B-S'G' Leaf. So he can see some really came that way. I was recently studying the RG-S'G' markings to get a Real one to replace a Repro on one of my S'G' s. Found one, but paid quite a bit. Didn't care as I was tired of the search. But while looking I'm sure I came across one marked like his..... I just can't remember where ? Might have been in the German / Bavarian / Austrian Armory pics The Sleep Less One has linked. I'm positive I seen one.... Thx Again, Ch-P777

You've seen it the other way around. R base and B leaf. It was the loose one discussed on milsurps sold for about $350 when that was a lot. Or maybe it was the way you said... Someone turned it into a mud fest by not listening to what was being said by several collectors. /facepalm

Another Topic shut down that could have been very helpful.... Now and well down the road.
But the guy who isn't involved in the discussion decides:
"I think we should call it on this thread........... " |
