Hi Folks!

We bought a little farm down on the Cumberland river bottom nearly 2 1/2 years ago.

So that makes me a resident of the beautiful Commonwealth of Kentucky, Born and raised in Ohio where I retired as a hospital plumber back in 2007.

I spend the majority of my internet time at the

At some point I plan to buy a carbine so I thought I would allow you folks to educate me in the meantime.

Thanks for having me,

No, Smith did NOT make carbines! *LOL* Welcome to the club. BTW, I've got a few Smiths myself, including a VS Victory model Navy marked .38 sp.

Terry, welcome to the forum. I'm from Ohio and now am living in IN. I retired after 42 years in healthcare.

If you are interested in M1 carbines you came to the right place. There are some very knowledgeable and friendly folks here. I've learned much from hanging around, you will too.

You're in the right place.  Great bunch of folks who enjoy helping.  S&W huh?  In addition to a couple new SS models for plinking I have a 60,  27-2 (8-3/8") and a 29-2 (6-1/2") my dad bought me back in my much younger days.  Also to complete the S&W magnum trifecta a few years ago I picked up a 57-1 (8-3/8").  They're all nice but not as smooth as the 6" Python my dad got me.

Welcome!
