This is the bolt from my Winchester SN 1278XXX..... I found a thread on the forum referring to this as an Inland "2" but no other information .... initially  I thought it might be some kind of manufacturing artifact  ...... I anyone has any further information or a direction for more research I would certainly appreciate the reply. Thanks Ken

I have a T3 marked just like it, but the 2 font is as large as the makers-mark. The same orientation of the 2 on yours pictured, only larger.

Going through my IBM today cleaning it up and taking pics of the markings. I thought it was A.T.
I am curious what the 3 is for.

O.I. and A.I. bolts have been observed with the numbers 1, 2 or 3 on them. Believe that it is still an unknown as to what the numbers actually mean.

I wonder if there are differences in the small numbers with a different font vs the larger numbers?

Perhaps numbers relate to different inspectors?
