Any help would be appreciated .... I have a Winchester Sn 12785XX that I purchased from CMP (Bavaria/Austria) the inside of the box is marked with the Underwood .U. but the outside of the box is marked with the M as shown in the picture ...... I have not been able to find description for the origin of this marking. Thanks Edited by New2brass - May 02 2020 at 11:38am |

Just one of the markings sometimes seen on Underwood slides, possibly an inspectors marking.

Hi Wayne,
Thanks again I really appreciate it......
Well that would be a real good reason for my not finding anything referencing it. Is there anyplace I can go to reference what would be "appropriate" parts for for this carbine given the manufacturers traded parts IF they were having a shortage so their production didn't drop? Ken |

I believe I saw the M referenced in War Baby.
