Picked up an import marked mixmaster U coded NPM carbine at an auction this weekend, took it apart and filled out a data sheet, as I always do just so I know what's inside. The RI marked firing pin in it also has an additional letter, either a lower case c or a lower case a. Anyone seen a firing pin with this additional marking before?

Thanks Ted, I knew I read a thread about them before, just could not find it when I searched. For what it's worth my FP is a type II.

I had one of these and recently sold it. The buyer accused me of selling him a fake part when he received it. I told him to return it and I would gladly take it back. Don't know what he plans to do. We now know that there were at least two marked like this....yours and the one I sold. It was a T2 as well.

There are a few out there, I still have mine. Not aware of any faked firing pins, they are just not a high value part. IP if anything I'd suppose, but an Inland pin no...

I came to a conclusion that it might be rare, but nothing special based on information I received when I asked. I am firing pin rich and sold mine along with some other pins. I sort of wish the guy that accused me of trying to sell him a fake commercial pin would send it back. That nut went completely ballistic when he received it. It was not a forum member here, as far as I know. He needed to get back on his medications and settle down.
