The follower on the 15 round doesn't look right. It looks like a hold-open type. GI 15s didn't have them. The 30 looks good though. Nice hardback.

It may just be the angle of the picture making it look like a "hold open" on the 15 rounder. |

I had to Google what a hold-open follower was. Neither of these mags will hold open the bolt so I guess they aren’t?
Also I looked at doing a data sheet on this carbine, but holy cow that’s intimidating! I thought I didn’t know much about Garands, but this takes my noob-ness to a whole other level.

Your hardback 30 round mag has a hold open follower on it, whether or not it works is another thing. |

Yep, just looked at them again this morning. You are correct @W5USMC, the 30-rounder is hold open. Does that mean the mag is not USGI, or just that it has a commercial follower?

For the 30 rd magazines it is the correct follower. It is USGI as well.
