Greetings all, I am Richard and life down south of the Netherlands near the German and Belgium border.
I have 2 M1 Carbine's, the first one is a Winchester from 1943 and the second one is a National postalmeter from 1944. Also I have a IHC Garand , A Radom Wz 48 .22 Training rifle and a IMI .45 ACP Baby Eagle. The Winchester is almost correct and the Postalmeter is a mixup. Hope to find some info here from some parts. Thanks for having me.

Richard

I will take tomorrow some pictures from the Winchester and national Postalmeter
The National Postalmeter has found a new home in Belgium and will be moving in a few weeks.
In place of the National Postalmeter will come a Quality Hardware from 1943 with flip sight.

Thanks, The box and the 30m1 ammo on the picture are from 1943. I have also ammo from 1944 and 1945. Got it from a shooting buddy who bought a Mosin nagant. He got a lot of ammo with the Nagant and this was a part of it. Here in the Netherlands when you not have a M1 on your permit it is not allowed to have this ammo. There for he gave it to me. I don't intend to shoot with this. It's not safe.

Hi halftrackman,

Nice a Tank colleague, I was stationed from Oct 1985 to Jun 1986 near Hannover for the Dutch army as a gunner on the Leopard 2 tank. Did several exercises with American M1 Abrahm tanks.

Thanks for sharing. Any significance to the purple primers?

All I could find out about the color of the primer is that it's a seal.
I took a few pictures of the headstamps with the colors  from the ammunition I have.
Right P C 1943 Peters Cartridge CO., Kings mill, OH (Red color not clearly visible on photo)
Second from Right  FN Belgium 1950's (no color)
Left WRA 1944 Winchester repeating Arms Company ( Blue/purple Color )
Second from left WCC 1944 Western Cartridge Company. ( Red Color )

Maybe someone else knows what the colors stand for.
