Not sure that there is an answer to your question, M1A1 stocks were used during Inland's 1st and 2nd production run. Read the M1A1 link below.

I tend to agree with Wayne, it will be hard to pinpoint an exact serial. Although, If M1A1 production ended at the closing of 1944 and also there are original M1A1's running around out there with type three barrel bands, one would say in the 6.3 and possibly into the 6.4 range.

There were no assigned numbers to the M1a1. They were assembled off the assembly line with the M1 carbine. So you could have consecutive numbers on an M1 and a M1a1.

As pointed out they have been with type 2 and type 3 bands in the 6.2 to 6.4 range. There is one higher reported, but this might be an outlier. This was reported in CCNL 348
Barrel dates are key when looking at an M1a1.
