Nobody caught the cartouche is boxed SG but the slingwell is Q-RMC with some other letters?
Was this a transfer?

Found this thread interesting.

I see there's a box edge but can't see script. Maybe RLO the sling cut and cartouche and shoot them.

EDIT: I see the G now.
My sig: Seen an IP or S'G'? Add it to my registry. We'll check consecutives.

Will do. It is a bit light in that pic for sure and maybe because I have been starring at so much I can see it.

Marty said it best when he talked about undocumented transfers.
I see nothing of stocks from RMC nor QHMC going to either Saginaw nor Grand Rapids.
Yet we see markings in the slingwell consistent with stocks that came out of the Saginaw plant.
The Boxed SG from the little I see looks good. Having the boxed SG in addition to the slingwell markings  sure makes it look like a transferred part.

It is a good thing Mount Rainier did not sand it completely away.
Thanks for sharing!

Note to self; a little RLO goes a long way.

Yeah there is a lot going on with this stock. Big smile

Mount Rainier Ordnance Depot
Rock-Ola Manufacturing Corporation
Quality Hardware and Machine
Saginaw Gear

The buttplate might be Standard Products but I stink at buttplates. The T-3 recoil plate I find no markings on. Something else interesting perhaps is the use of the early long thread recoil plate screw.
