being that Plainfields will work with GI carbine parts they are everywhere, what do you need? Plainfields, FYI, are considered to be the best of commercial carbines produced and should be able to use all USGI parts, unlike, gulp....a Universal. That is of course assuming it is a carbine and not a pistol.

As those above have indicated the carbines made by Plainfield are fully compatible with surplus GI parts or commercial parts made to GI dimensions. Plainfield sold their company in 1977 and were no longer Plainfield in early 1978.
Only a few of their parts had a Plainfield marking and most of those were 1970 and later and not consistently then. The letter P inside a triangle (barrel flat), the letters PMC inside a triangle (barrel flat, inside the slide), or the letters PMC (rear sight). I have a number of Plainfield parts removed from a Plainfield carbine that had outlived it's lifespan and was no longer safe to shoot. With the parts being safe but well worn. If you let us know what you are looking for in particular we may be able to be of help. Jim |

I am kind of a belt and suspender kind of guy. Shot it for the first time day before yesterday, so far I don't know. It is right now a great single shot. haveing extraction issues, I ordered a couple of magazines to see if the 40 shot mag that came with it is the issue. When they get here, I will go back to the range and see if that and the careful chamber cleaining and polishing have fixed here ills. it shoots straight and true, just really would like to make her go bang repeatedly.
