The CMP Forum site has been down for two days. Anyone know what happened?

The CMP forums are probably just overloaded from all the stupid questions on the 1911 forum.

CMP IT says, "We are in the process of migrating hosting servers over to new DC. This will take some time. Thanks for your patience."

I'll go with Wayne's response.  The scary thing is the people asking the idiotic questions may actually own a 1911A1. Shocked

Its very frustrating waiting for the forum to return from oblivion. I always wonder if some mischievous hacker is responsible. I hope it is just an overload of some sort as mentioned above. But, if it doesn't reappear soon, I will start showing signs of addiction withdrawal shakes.

Good, I hate looking at awesome carbines for sale every other day

Love CMP's EE, and the carbine section....but here is where you really want to come to find the experts, and pure tech, no bs, knowledge. I'm happy to live in a world where people so freely give out info on vetted sites like both of these. Occasionally, someone posts some crap, but by in large they are sure fire answers to any questions new buyers might have. Never seen one iota of BS, or factual incorrect, or non corrected info transmitted on here.

The signal to noise ratio is truly optimal for learning on here.

Looks like it is back up. Upgrading and site migrations aren’t easy, especially ones with a large amount of data. Nice to see they have carbines again for auction.
