Here are some pictures of the oiler mounted in my Rock-Ola carbine.

Based on what I have read here, it appears to be authentic, but I would like a second opinion(s).

It is marked IR, has a straight oiler pin (not flattened at tip) and the cap has a hatch-pattern on the griping surface.  Your opinions.

Thanks!

Hard to see the "leg"on the R but for what I can make out it looks right.  The oily gasket and cap knurl look good too.

Sorry about the poor picture of the mark.  The leg of the R is there, just hard to see.

I appreciate your comments.

FWIW, have seen both parked and blued Rock oilers.

Read a post from Ricca once stating that WWII oilers could be parked, blued or dull black.

Regarding the R, I was looking for the placement of the "leg".  Looks right.

I'm sure everyone remembers the letter Marty Black got from the Meriden Historical Society back in 1985 regarding the oiler's assembly?  It discusses Parkerizing.  Here's a thread from Mar '17. Go to page 2, about 3/4 down the page.
