We have a Stainless Steel number 2773, with a plastic(rubber) magazine, we would like to get another one or two magazines for it, either like this one or metal.  We live in California and so are restricted as to size(no larger than 10Wink).  Also looking for a sling and a scope mount.  We bought this new in the early 80's in Florida.

And, given the serial number, what year was this manufactured?

Thanks a bunch you guys

Tru and Mike

Trose, Welcome to the forums.

Sounds like you may have a nickel plated Universal.
If the serial is 2773 it would be early (1967 ish?) but do not think they had the plated till later. If one of the commemorates then the serial would have zeros , so 02773

If this is your carbine read the 4 pages on main site here

It is possible that you have a early USGI Inland that someone chrome plated. Possible anothe commercial carbine as well. Look at front ring or at rear sight for makers marks. Sometimes on side of receiver.

Here is what a Universal plastic mag looks like. They may be available on ebay as well as some vendors such as Numrich or Sarco. Gunbroker has a few listed metal 5 round magazines right now
