What ever it took to get the job done is something I've picked up over the years in dealing with these things.

Two sets of stake marks, one over the other. Only one example not from an QH, but wonder if some kind of issue forced the second set?

Is the pin blued? other side look undisturbed?

the ring staking mark is supposed to disrupt the metal into the hole to keep pin in. Being that it is so far off center I would think only a very small portion of metal is disrupted which may let the pin walk out.

So someone, maybe at factory corrected this by disrupting metal with a punch on the opposite side.

This is all just conjecture on my part. Anyone else?

The pin is blued. Here is the other side. Not as disturbed, but think I see some type of additional staking other than circular.

Have been reading CCNL 278, 329 and 334.

Wondering why manufacturers like QH switched rear sight pin staking methods?
