Heloooo from Tennessee. So privledged to be here in the THICK Wisdom that resides in this forum. Any help on what this old family friend might have to say would help. I have NO idea of why the numbers on this were filed (still see them) But Granpa is LONG gone so I have to do my own investigating, God Bless you all and PRAY for Texas!!!

Nice to see a Rockola made it's way home from Norway.
It served with their Costal Artillery, hence K art.
The number scratched off is either a Norwegian rack or property number. Very lucky you can read it, most are unreadable.

Does your stock have a J in slingwell?

Look where the sling goes through stock. Opposite side of the oval cut

No need to take apart.
If you want to open there is no need to touch recoil screw at back of receiver (with K art on it)
Remove magazine, Loosen barrel band, do not take screw out all the way as it is designed not to. Depress barrel band retainer and slide band forward. Hand gard will come off. Lift from barrel out of wood.

Need to see back of snap. Look as area on back between snap and stud for marks also.

How do I know there was a J in slingwell?

Thank the club and its newsletters for 40 years (and counting) of research!

Does it have a Rockola barrel? Other parts marked Rockola (if you open it up)

Enjoy!
Dan
