    Posted: Aug 06 2017 at 9:43am
I have an early, original trigger housing pin with the spring intact (cannot recall how I obtained it). It is in excellent condition, however I do not have an early carbine with which to use the pin.

I realize that these are a somewhat difficult part to find and may be in demand for collectors who wish to make an early Carbine a more correct rifle. My question is: what value does this part have?

Thanks for your insights.

I need one, but watch the ransom auctions often go off and rarely sell.
Such is carbine life

Take not of how many watchers on items that do not sell. They are probably trying to figure whar theirs are worth.

Those prices seem pretty high to me, considering you can buy a type II for under 10 bucks, probably why they rarely sell.  I have "1" type I pin that I believe the spring has been removed from, it came on my Quality Hardware. I don't even think QHMC used the type I pin.

There was probably a MWO or an armorer that figured to just pull out the wire and it would work just fine.

Wanna swap for a later one?

Dan, that is a possibility, gotta check my other carbines first to make sure it would not be "correct" on any of them. Not sure about an even swap, but maybe we could work something out. I will PM you after I check

Well, I guess none have been sold recently. Too bad. Guess, I keep looking to see if one sells.

Interesting piece, in any event.
