I have a HI marked stock on one of my carbines, unfortunately it has an Italian FAT cartouche on the left side but also has crossed cannons on the right. Also on the right side between the oiler cut and the butt there is what appears to be a C inside a circle. I searched for awhile but found nothing about this marking. Any idea what the circled C is?

FAT stamp lends it provenance. Big plus retaining CC.
I am beginning to think there is something to the C marks. On one of the unusual marking articles there is a C found on a barrel. There was another C seen on something else that eludes my memory at the moment. Not to be confused with a broad head arrow over the C for Canada, was a acceptance or proof mark. Maybe even a property mark. Think there was something (maybe a C) found on some IPs rear heal.

Think I have seen a C on an M1A1 stock. Question is can I find a picture of it.
Found it. C mark looks different than the OP's. |
