AI marked T3 band...looks too new to be true. No marks on the lug and I counted 5-welds?

cannot imagine anyone faking a T3 band, why? There are TONS of them out there, many even NOS and for pennies!!

AI should be Inland-ish. It's hanging on an early Universal generation-1 circa mid-60's. The gun contains other USGI components. The stamping just looks too deep to me, but I'd agree....why in the world would Universal fake a part....they likely may not know the difference or care anyhow. Just struck much deeper than any USGI band I have, or have seen.

Just found this in "U.S. M1 Carbines,Wartime Production" by Graig Rirsch. A1 type 111 is one of several barrel bands used on Inland in the 6,300,000 range.
