I have the S'G' type II bolt shown in the link below. There is a very deep stamping (pre-heat treating?) on the top of the right lug. I have not found anything yet that might describe what this means. Offering here for thoughts and discussion.

Not sure but it kinda looks like a flaming bomb that was stamped to hard.

I agree with Chris, it appears to be a flaming bomb or part of it anyway.

In support of Car Wash Chris, Riesch comments that some mfg early bolts may have the ordnance flaming bomb on the right lug.

CCNL 374 - Some bolts were reported with an ordnance bomb or the number 2 on the bottom, or top of the right lug.

Thanks for the example of yours. I have a hard time seeing a similar stamp could have ben responsible for mine. Maybe if it was struck  way too hard with the left edge of the stamp gouging it? Never say never I suppose.
