Replacing the push-button safety with a lever safety. Is this best left to a gunsmith, or is this a do-it-yourself alteration?
While I understand that replacing the "flip-type" sight with another is a "dovetail" arrangement (slide in-slide out). Are their any on-line tutorials concerning this modification? Thanks in advance.

Changing safety's is pretty easy. The worst thing to deal with is the spring. You can use the tip of the guide rod or small screw driver to push the mag catch retainer back, thru the small hole. With the tension off the mag catch should slide out. Once it starts to slide be ready to catch the spring/retainer.

The videos mentioned above are a great starting point. Before taking apart the TH, I like to mark the positions of the parts (push safety, pics, etc...) so they can be put back together in the same configuration. Usually taking a picture of the TH before disassembly is sufficient. hth.
