Found this 6-44 Inland at my favourite gunshop.
As I have a very good relation with the sales guys over there they are calling me when they get a new M1 Carbine. And then when I arrive,  they are already standing there with a screwdriver and a big smile because they know that I will disassemble it for inspection. It is always funny to look at the other customers when I take it completely apart in the show room.
But anyway I found this one in a very good shape and it did not look as having been messed around with. The price was right (600 Euro) and  I did not have an Inland of that production batch (5276xxx), therefore I bought it.

Unfortunately I have made the pictures before cleaning it, so please igore the traces of dust and grease Big smile
What do you think abaout this one?

Hey aschaefer. Another nice carbine in your collection. Congratulation! For me it looks absolutely correct. Comes in perfect condition.
If you have a bolt disassembly tool you should use it. Usually it works perfect and makes the task easier.
PS: Maybe the rear sight could be a post war replacement. At the time your carbine was built I think they still used flip sights.

It's basically very nice, but I wonder what caused the marks in front of the front sight. No matter what you come up with some good carbines where you are.
