One M1 carbine part(s) was/were previously used on another weapon.

Identify the part and earlier weapon.

Bonus, Can it found on any other weapons and if so which one(s)

Buttplate screw. Also used on M1 Garand, M1903, Springfield Musket, probably other places too.

Buttplate screw. 1855 Springfield was first to use. Springfield '03 and M1 Garand also use this screw.

The butt plate screw.

It was also used on the Model 1903 and M1 Garand rifles.

One such part was #6146873 (butt plate screw). In addition to the carbine, the M14 (11686528) and 12 ga riot shotgun (11686409), among others, also used it

trigger, trigger spring and sear from the Winchester Model 05 and also 07 and 10.

I forgot, the M1 butt screw was also used on the butt plate on the M1 Garand.

next time i need an original  butt plate screw, i will use the springfield screw.  this saved me money already.  I guess the trigger and spring (see above) won't work?  Mel
