This won't help you this much, Charlie, but there's a brief article in one of the newsletters if memory serves me. I'd look it up now, but I'm still at work. Maybe I'll look into it when I get home if someone else hasn't commented on it again.

I seen one of these a few years back, but could only see the bottom legs. The top of the R was worn away.
I have seen R.I. but other than stated above never just the R.

Reece comes to mind, but I don't believe correct.

Just curious.........

Thx,

The article in CCNL 371-4 says it may have been made by Rustless Iron and Steel Corporation, a company that made the stainless steel for the pistons and nuts.

Thank You W5USMC,

Was wondering last night who may have been a Stainless supplier to Inland.
I haven't located my CCNL 371....it's here somewhere.
Did search thru the awesome Inland write ups by Newscotlander Thumbs Up in CCNL's 346 and 353.
Found mention of Royersford Needle Works... R.I. in CCNL 346, but per CCNL 353: Royersford is Only listed as a 'Possible producer'..

Curiosity and carbines =  A Self inflicted mental beating.
I should have taken up whittling :-)

Appreciate your help,
