It's been a while since l posted anything. My question is on early carbines by STD. PRO. The stock well has the S-HB with the ordinance bomb. Were the ordinance people inspecting and stamping parts, like they did on early Inland carbines. Or was this a common practice at STD. PRO.
The serial no. is 2004936, with a Underwood barrel dated 7-43. High wood L sigjt hand guard marked S-HB.  All the correct parts are S marked. Im sure someone has the answer.  This is the right place

Per the. info in CCN366 of July 1 2011.  The majority of stocks up to 2016279 will have the bomb in sling well.  last reported one at 2065524.  Should be Highwood although Low woods first show up at 20081xxx Your bbl. is correct date range.  Trigger housing will be a milled one.  Dog leg hammer in it.
Some very early SHB stocks, 1985XXX, have HMR and Ord wheel inspection in the sling well.
SP can be confusing as number codes were applied to milled housings, bolts, slides.  Usually, the lower numbers were used first but not always.  There were transfers of "some" parts from other manufactures also.
I really like carbines
