I’m looking at a very clean Inland at a local shop. It is very clean The cartouche is very nice but is SG. I can’t find any rework marks. Would some early Inland’s have Saginaw stocks?
Thanks, Jay

Not with an SG acceptance stamp. That said, there is enough interest in legit SG and S'G' stocks that it wouldn't be too difficult to find a buyer for the stock or possibly a trade. Check the stock cut out for the sling to see what stampings are in there.

As Matt said no, if that stock has a legit SG Cartouche that means it was originally on a carbine that was accepted by the Ordnance Dept from Saginaw Gear.

I’ll double check but I believe it is RSG. I’m going to buy it. It’s real clean.

We're still putting together info on SG stocks and their stampings. |

Doesn't help DogDoc,
But thought I'd mention I have a Type II Hi-Wood with Distorted from sanding Inland CC. With RSG Stamped upside down and Serif I below it. Has the Green ink stamp in the channel. Came from a bulk purchase of stocks. Charlie-Painter777

I was finally able to get some pictures. The slide has no markings but appears to be consistent with Inland. The bolt has no markings. The trigger assembly is Inland. I’ll get a data sheet at some point. The Saginaw stock seems to be the only non-Inland component. No rebuild marks.

Could be any of a hundred reasons. Replaced a busted stock, got switched during a cleaning party, someone liked its looks better.....
