Hi all,
I acquired this carbine recently in a trade and am curious what anyone can tell me about it. Serial number is 95XXX so could be first or second generation. I haven't fired it yet (no ammo) but it seems to function fine. Any info is appreciated.

Yep, right on the borderline in the transition period, but has a GI slide and bolt. Box trigger housing, but GI compatible on internals. Probably good to go. I don’t recall at what point they had issues with the bridge-cut safety feature, but that can be tested.

Your thinking WWII Paratrooper models, which used a different style folding stock

During the 60's there were MP40 style folding stocks offered buy couple manufactures and sold as a aftermarket item

I’ve been hunting for one of those under folder stocks for awhile now, I love the various aftermarket options. If you decide you want to sell or trade the stock let me now

A replacement stock for that action will need to have the Universal box-cut for the trigger housing, or pick-up a GI spec. housing. Everything in the TH will swap-over, but the pins.
