I picked up a shooter grade carbine off of Armslist. I could not find any import marks on it. It's an early Inland but it's a total Frankengun; nothing on it matches the receiver. I was able to identify the maker of everything except the stock. The stock is a type V. There are no ordnance
cartouches and despite the fact that it is an obvious rebuild there are no rebuild marks marks. The only legible markings on it
are 10/57 and PB-W or possibly P8-W in the slingwell where the maker's
ID would go. There is also a line of illegible text above this mark and
a rather strange symbol beneath it. Can anyone ID the maker? |

A stock that spent time in Austria and or Germany, postwar of course. I am sure one of the link throwers will be here soon with something similar.
