Has anyone seen a type 3 band with this marking before? Looks like a serif C?

yes--is reference to it in carbine club newsletter bayonet band update--I got one on cmp return from memory--somehow thought my serif C was on other side?? too many moons ago

I also found a Cowles brass bore relector mirror with same serif C

Interesting it does have the same front profile as a Cowles band. Was it a post ww2 variety?

CCNL 356, serif C in company logo reported by Marcus Rust. The C is on the right side (as shown) as opposed the normal left side

Yes sure does look like the serif C in the C. Cowles Co. logo.
Pulled these pictures of a bore sight they manufactured, as well the factory. |
