Hey Carbine Folks,

Is Jessie Harrison's discussion of carbine parts stamping true?  He says that all carbine parts were stamped BEFORE parkerizing, so they should not show a "stamping aura" (brightness) around the edges of the letters, the way a barrel or receiver proofing does??

Is this usually or always true?? Or not true at all?

    Thank you!

Some were and some were not. The best use for Harrison's book is to level that coffee table with a short leg.
