Are you seeing two different fonts? What is anyone else seeing? |

Not sure about different fonts but I think the G looks double stamped.

Yes, I think you're right, but not evident on the S, which looks like it has serifs.

CCNL 335-5 had 4 different SG markings, some serif, some not. Some on the tang, some on the left body.
What stands out to me is the spacing which is not shown in the pictures. There is one sans serif that has the same funky bottom of the S you show. Variation? Dunno, but now I have to pull all that I have when I get the time. Bump the thread in a few days if confirmed.
