Just a quick FYI
People keep asking how this stock got on this carbine! I used the M-1 Carbine from 1955 through 1961 for annual qualification. When we finished firing we took the rifles apart and tossed all the parts into a long, large, vat of cleaning solution. We then grabbed out enough parts to put our rifle back together - making no attempt to get the parts that we took off (I'm guessing they were not "original" when we checked them out. Parts were totally interchangeable and we didn't give a thought to folks 60 years later trying to get the "right" part. Sorry bout that.

Bolt too? That's the part I find surprising as technically there could be headspace issues.
