Mike, Back issues are available. It might be better to list all of your questions about the same carbine in one thread so people know which specific carbine you are inquiring about. This also helps future reader searching for answers. What I am piecing together is that you are looking for info on the letter on the bottom of the grip? CCNL 245 is an Addendum to CCLN 329 article on the IBM manufacturer update. In the 245 IMB addendum, one of the things discussed numerous letters appearing bottom of late IBM carbines. We later learned that many other carbines have these markings. From memory, and anybody correct me if I am wrong, is that these may be NRA or DCM markings. ' It is also possible that it was some form of storage marking from the military. The large instance of these marks on late IBMs could be that they were not needed for the war effort and put into storage. Also of interest in that article is the reporting of numbers found on the stock under the buttplate on SC B stocks. We believe these are Julian dates and discussed here as well.

my ibm carbine appears to have been one that was put in storage, as it is in excellent condition, with no rebuild marks, or parts.
