    Posted: Feb 21 2019 at 3:05pm
Reed Kimzey recently shared a picture of a milled rear sight that had a smaller than usual H in shield.

Here we have a similar sight but with the SA mark for Springfield Armory. It is unknown if it has the usual crossed cannons on opposite side which is typical of SA rear sights.

This could be a transfer of parts or possibly left over parts sent to Springfield Armory

Has anyone seen this before?

Haven't seen one of these. Will keep my eye out.
Thanks, Dan

Has anyone else seen an h in the shield with an SA marked rear sight before? I just received a carbine with both stamps on the right side of it, recently. Here is a picture of it.. Anyone else have one or seen one before?

Do yours have any other markings on them? Dan asked about cross cannons stamped on mine, which it does not have.

Two posts have been merged so it may have been missed. I apologize for not pointing that out.

Two different Hemphill to SA rear sights, notice one has the 1.5 graduation marking and the other does not. Neither one of them have the crossed cannons on the left side.
