Good catch Dan. The carbine was also featured on "Gun Stories" this week, with many inaccuracies.
As an example, one of the "experts" said 7 million made. Many of the closeup pictures showed the slide missing the hold-open pin. It also included statements that many GIs disliked the carbine due to its lack of hitting power. Interesting that both videos came out the same week.

That is a real purdy Saginaw. I'd probably be too paranoid to shoot that one if it was mine, which is why I haven't shot my pristine Inland hand-stamp or my rode hard, put away wet Standard Products that I'm sure was souvenired from Uncle Sam during or right after The War. All original Stud Pro except for the Inland T1 front band.

Oh I do. I also like my DCM Standard Products. Both have Underwood barrels.

Thanks for sharing. Interesting that it has a flip sight and type 1 band, but has a low wood stock and a "slim jim" pistol grip.

Would be interesting to see if there is perhaps an arsenal mark on the stock, a P mark somewhere on the grip, a mark on the back of the stock and the location of the cartouche.

I tried freezing the video to make out the S//N. 4 million something, perhaps?

OK, I'm still learning I guess that means I'm not dead yet. This is the first I've heard of a "Slim Jim" pistol grip, can you clarify and show the differences, I always thought the stocks were all the same that would include the grip.

The rear sight is on backward. Wonder if real?

Good catch, Dan. Can't believe I missed that the first time I watched the video.

I also noticed that the carbine jammed on the 7th shot shown from four different angles toward the end of the video (FF to 2:34 MIN.). Notice the position of the operating slide after the last shot.

The rear sight looks real, but would like to see another still or two.
